I Hate To Say I Told You So...

In our first post, we said that one of the reasons we founded Termtegrity was that we thought that we were potentially at the beginning of a new wave of pervasive skimming attacks on POS devices.

Well, it looks like our prediction is unfortunately becoming true. Over the past several weeks we've seen some brazen skimming attacks on high profile targets. The United States Postal Service, on stamp vending machines in Pittsburgh. The Long Island Railroad system, which included cameras to capture PINs from debit cards.

If you are accepting cards, especially in high-traffic, unattended areas, you need to prioritize skimming among the top attacks in your threat models and risk mitigation strategies. Fortunately, there is an easy-to-use solution to help you address this risk with a minimum of time and effort.

For more tales from the skimming front lines, keep an eye on our Twitter feed. We update every day when we find news items on skimming attacks.
